After the service on Sunday, April 23 the Truth and Reconciliation Committee will be hosting an event in Fleck Hall which will include a light lunch and an opportunity to meet and converse virtually with Tyler Waddilove.
Tyler is a member of the Munsee-Delaware Nation and an Indigenous graduation coach with the London District Catholic School Board. He is also the chairperson of the Hockey Helps the Homeless organizing committee. He will be talking to us about this event and how our donations ($1095 to date) are being put to work and about reconciliation generally.
He is also willing to answer any questions you might have. A free-will offering to cover the cost of the lunch will be collected, and you will have an opportunity to donate to our reconciliation project, if you have not already done so.
Lunch will begin immediately after the service and the conversations will begin over a Zoom connection at about 12:30, lasting for about an hour. Reserve the date and plan to attend!
This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with an approachable, knowledgeable member of the Indigenous community and foster the kind of relationship which is essential to reconciliation.
