The Stained Glass of Elmwood
"Nativity"
| The five-pointed star at the top of this
window is symbolic of the star which guided the Wise
Men to Bethlehem. Shining out of a night and cloudy
sky, it could be interpreted as symbolic of the light
coming into our sinful world. A large central circle
of light surrounding the Holy Family also contains twelve
small pieces of red stained glass symbolic of the twelve
disciples Jesus called to be with Him during His earthly
ministry. The window is dedicated in memory of Hugh
McComb, his wife Margaret Ann Nettleton, and their family,
1969. |
