Among the many interests we have in  Friendship Circle is the sponsorship of a child through the Christian Children's Fund of Canada.  "Our" child is Gerald Aroldo Flores Laguna.  Gerald lives with his family in Nicaragua where they attend an Evangelical Christian Church and have a home of their own. Despite their many hardships, Gerald's mother wants to see her children complete their education. Gerald is in grade three where his grades are above average and his teacher likes his enthusiasm and willingness to learn. His favorite subject is math and when he grows up he would like to be a civil engineer.    

Under the direction of the Christian Children's Fund, in Managua Nicaragua, 600 sponsored children are enrolled in school and participate in different sports and cultural groups. C.C.F. has also instituted an antiparasite campaign and other preventive health measures in the community.
